The variety of colors that sprout from the Vinincunca mountain is due to the product of mineral erosion, below we have the description of the colors that can be noticed when observing the mountain
- Pink color: product of red clay, mudstones (mud) and arilites (sand).
- Whitish color, due to the quartz sandstone and marl, rich in calcium carbonate.
- Red by composed of clays (iron) and clays belonging to the upper tertiary.
- Green is due to the compound of phyllites and clays rich in ferro-magnesian.
- The earthy brown is a product of fanglomerate composed of rock with magnesium belonging to the Quaternary era.
- Mustard yellow color due to the calcareous sandstones rich in sulfur minerals.
